This is a place of open discussion about Eating Disorders: in general, yours in particular, whatever thoughts you have on issues that you're going through, and any questions you want to ask others who have similar issues.
This community thrives on intellectual discussion about topics that affect many of us.
The goal of ed_philosophy is to be able to relate and understand others and ourselves better. We are not just "freaks" who have nothing but calories and scale numbers on our mind. Our disorders affect us in many different ways and situations of our lives.
There aren't too many rules for this community. Rather, there are guidelines to help keep things organized:
Although intro posts seem monotonous and usually include tedious numbers and survey-facts, the intro post you should make when you join ed_philosophy should be more of a short paragraph about you including anything you'd like to share about who you are. If you want to post pictures of anything in your life you can do so, as well as any creative works you have (poety, drawings, stort stories, etc). Make it interesting and unique while still telling us about who you are. :)
Please refrain from posting about daily calorie intake or binges unless you're actually going to write about how they "made you feel" or your thoughts about your actions. There are other communities who encourage such posts, but this is a place for discussion.
Along the same lines, no "thinspiration" posts, again, unless you have certain thoughts about how a picture made you feel.
Please, feel free to suggest or even start new dicussion topics, this is the point of the entire community. Don't worry about wether it's been discussed before or if you think what you're going to ask is "stupid." Just ask.
Of course, try to be respectful to other members; if something someone says sounds "stupid" or doesn't make sense, ask them about it before making assumptions. The only power I will give myself is to kick out people who cause too much drama since I want this to be a mature place with calm and collected individuals.
